English Bulldog Rescue of Georgia
Under the wing of Florida English Bulldog Rescue, Georgia’s Bulldog Rescue took in its first dog in January 2009. We are now an independent rescue. We rely solely on donations for the care and treatment of the rescued Bulldogs that are admitted to our organization. Georgia English Bulldog Rescue, Inc., (GEBR) was incorporated in January 2009 as a non-stock, non-profit corporation with Federal Tax Exemption as a public charity under Section 501 (c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code.
Our mission is to first ensure the safety and well-being of all English Bulldogs that we take in and second to educate the public in the care of English Bulldogs. We rehabilitate and re-home English Bulldogs that are sick, neglected, abused, or injured. Moreover, we provide a safe alternative to shelters for owners that are faced with the already difficult decision of finding a new home for their English bulldog. GEBR rescued 23 English Bulldogs our first year and since forming in 2009 have rescued more than 560 dogs. The rescue has approximately 35-45 dogs in foster care at any given time.
